Our Sansthan is an NGO run and managed by a Society where all members are volunteers and we run the institution ever since its inception in 1952, as no-profit organization.

The Sansthan provides an avenue to high quality school education to children who come from extremely backward or poor families. In addition to strictly following the rules of the RTE (Right to Education) Act, we also provide total or partial free-ships to a large number of extra needy students, to the extent that we can afford. We also support such students with books and stationery, uniforms and winter clothing, as required. On the other hand, the total amount of school fees that we reluctantly collect from the students, is hardly sufficient even to pay the salaries or our teaching and support /administrative staff.

We are therefore in a desperate situation and require funds for our survival, and also to invest in our growth. For this reason, we solicit voluntary donations in cash and kind to support our cause.

The Sansthan has been granted lifetime Income Tax Exemption under Sec. 80G (5)(vi), which will means all donations made to us are considered as a deductible expenditure (to the extent of 50% of the amount so donated) while computing the donors’ income tax for the particular financial year, whether it is an individual or a corporate business house.

One way to support our cause is to make a small annual donation to the extent of the average cost of providing education to one or more student for one full academic year, which at present works out to Rs. 17,500/- only. This is again tax deductible while the donor pays his or hers income tax, against an 80G receipt to be issued by us. In such cases, we send out a reminder e mail or phone request as we come closer to the end of the year, to each of our benevolent Donors, requesting them to consider renewing their kind support for another year. Of course, many of our patrons donate for more than one child’s education in a year !

Another way by which medium and large business houses or companies or firms can help us is to provide financial support to us under the government’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rules, against specific areas or projects which we can identify, for example to build or expand certain facilities like laboratories, toilets, infrastructure (new build or repairs) or buying books for our Library etc etc. Such support is also tax deductible while the donor pays his or hers income tax, against an 80G receipt to be issued by us.

We therefore urge all individuals as well as business houses to join us in our humble efforts and make a contribution towards this “Yajna” which has immense value for the society as whole, and thus, to bless us in our sincere efforts to keep this historic institution going.
